"Crazy
was a bit of a whore. God bless her."
The
last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home
is a broken hearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that
comes with her.
Lydia Green doesn't know whether to burn down the church or sit and
cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it's with his best man is another thing all together. She narrowly escapes tying the knot and meets Vaughan only hours later.
Vaughan is the exact opposite of the picture perfect, respected businessman she thought she'd marry. This former musician-turned-bartender is rough around the edges and unsettled. But she already tried Mr. Right and discovered he's all wrong-maybe it's time to give Mr. Right Now a chance.
After all, what's wrong with getting dirty?

My
Review:
Kylie
Scott's new series is a bunch of fun, and what you would expect from her
writing.
"Hearts
are so stupid"
Runaway bride Lydia finds herself hiding in the bathtub of an old house, thinking no one lives there. In comes Vaughn, broody rock-star returning to his childhood home after his band has broken up. The two become friends, then more, and each finds their way to a new life - different from the one they had planned out just weeks before. The two try to work through their issues while just being "Friends with Benefits" but Lydia quickly finds that her new life, and new home, is with Vaughn and his people.

"I'd broken into
his house, but he'd somehow broken into me, cracked me wide open, exposing me
to so much more of life than what had existed before"
Vaughn
of course, is still trying to figure out what to do about his
sorta-rock-star-status and he may not be sticking around the small town.
"Will
you be falling for my flirting anytime soon?"
Side
characters are interesting, and include Vaughn's sister, her soon-to-be
ex-husband, his friend, and a few other locals. They throw in previews for
upcoming books in this series (or at least that's what it seems), and add to
the drama and mayhem.
"Sometimes
violence and mayhem were just the answer"
Good start to a new series, with a surprise visit from everyone's favorite Stage Dive drummer, Mal.
