Karina delivers the last story with an emotional and gritty tale for Fox. As the eldest of three brothers, he's carrying a heavy burden and a lifetime of emotional baggage.
Delilah has loved Fox her entire life and when the two get together, she's conflicted as it's not exactly what she thought it would be. While Fox relies on her for comfort and to help keep his demon's at bay, she's looking for forever, and refuses to settle until he can give it to her. Fox goes through hell and back in this novel, and comes out better for it.
It's been a while since a Karina novel delivered the gut-punch that Hot Shot did, and I'm glad for it. Karina continues to stretch herself and her writing to give depth to the characters and emotion to readers.
