The Day I Stopped Falling for Jerks, Jerk Duet from New York Times bestselling author Max Monroe Blog Tour and Review!

Everyone calls me Lucky, but when it comes to love, I’m anything but.

The Day I Stopped Falling for Jerks, the first in the fun and flirty Jerk Duet from New York Times bestselling author Max Monroe is LIVE!

I have a long history of dating the wrong men.

You know the ones I’m talking about.
The beautiful, charming guys who are quite literally too good to be true.
The ones who are impulsive in love and prefer short flings over long-term relationships.

I’m talking about the jerks.

The guys who taste so good, but are so very bad.

After going through the most ridiculous breakup in the history of breakups, I thought I’d learned my lesson. I officially put myself into jerk rehab and committed to changing my ways.

But, let’s be real here, love is never that easy.

Especially when an arrogant, charming, he-devil of a sexy alpha man gets involved.

Aussie accent.
Tanned skin.
Muscular, surfer bod.
Gorgeous brown eyes.
And the kind of sexy smile that brings women to their knees.

Oh, did I mention that he’s also my best friend’s brother?

Yeah. This story, my story, it’s a real doozy you guys.

The day I stopped falling for jerks, I met Oliver Arsen—the biggest jerk of all.

My Review:

Lucky is unlucky in love. After a series of failed relationships, she's determined to shot falling for jerks, and find someone worthy of her awesomeness.

She's thrown a major wrench in her plan when she's assigned to follow a surfing competition and write about the sport from the view of someone who knows nothing about it. Volunteered by her co-worker and friend Allie, Lucky packs one too many bags and is off to the other side of the world to follow the Professional Surfing League and report from her novice view some human interest pieces.

Only one problem: the person picking her up from the airport and part of the tour is none other than Allie's surf legend, and all around hottie king of the jerks Ollie.

What's interesting about this book is that it's told from the perspective of the heroine through a podcast narrative, complete with the flashbacks and sighs/emotions while retelling her story. This one ends differently than you would expect - no huge cliffhanger, no resolution, but since this is a duet, I'm sure we're going to find more when the second book, and Ollie's version, is released shortly.

It's been a while since I've read a book that surprised me with the delivery style and the overall story - and I'm waiting for the second in this series to see what Max Monroe delivers. So far, each one of their books has been a fav of mine, so I expect nothing less than greatness. They can live up to it thought...amIright?
