Light My Fire,#11 in the Man of the Month Series by J. Kenner, is LIVE!

Light My Fire, an all-new sexy standalone by
#1 New York Times bestselling author
 J. Kenner, is LIVE!

I don’t do relationships.

I’ve lived my life hiding my scars, revealing myself only the in the scripts I write and the characters I voice.

Few people know the real me. I’m too careful. Too afraid of getting burned all over again.

Enter Beverly Martin. A movie star. A woman so beautiful and caring she makes my heart ache. She says she wants me—and her touch almost makes me believe that a girl like her could love a man like me.

But being with her would mean letting the spotlight of fame shine on me, too. And I’m not sure I can do that—even if walking away means losing the woman I love.

**Light My Fire is part of a binge read series by New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Publishers Weekly, and #1 International bestselling author of the million copy Stark series, J. Kenner.

Each book in the series is a STANDALONE novel with NO cliffhanger and a guaranteed HEA!

Review:
This was probably one of my favorites in the series. I have been waiting to find out what is going on with Griffin, and see him get this happy! Beverly is the perfect woman for him, sees past his scars to his true beauty and the two make a great pair! His sacrifice shows his true love for her, and his own growth.

Dear Life by Meghan Quinn is one of the best novels you'll read all year!

DEAR LIFE
NA Contemporary Romance
Designed by: Meghan Quinn
Photographer: Lauren Perry

Four lives. Four stories. Four sets of letters. Four brave souls in need of guidance while facing life's greatest challenges.

The anonymously published Dear Life program is designed to help them step outside of their comfort zones, face their obstacles, and relinquish their demons...and prove their existence.

With their lives teetering between wanting more and losing it all, all four souls dive into the program as a New Year’s resolution, sending them on a crazy, life-altering journey.

Dear Life,

Please be kind.

Yours truly, Hollyn, Jace, Daisy, and Carter.

Dear Meghan,
I was not emotionally equipped to read this book. I laughed. I cried. I was sad. I was hopeful. I went through a full range of emotions with this one. I could relate to each of the characters at some point and found myself thinking about my own life and what needed to change. You've "counseled" this counselor on self-reflection, self-worth, and self-development. Please tell me there isn't a test. I'm not prepared yet, but I will be. Soon.
Sincerely,
Y

Dear Life is about four people trying to kick-start themselves into a new life. Each has experienced something that has caused a "setback" and have had a hard time with acceptance, and none of them can move forward. They each participate in a "Dear Life" support group. Hollyn is a young widow, Jace is a professional athlete and new father, Daisy is the sheltered girl-turned-woman that now has to live on her own, and Carter....well, Carter is a snarky chef stuck in his uncles restaurant.

The four get placed together in group and are expected to discuss their situations and write letters addressing a challenge each meeting. It forces them to confront what they've been avoiding, face their demons as you will. What happens is they end up moving forward as a group, with each one supporting the other in one way or another. Connections are made, and each does move toward a new life.

Despite the self-help theme, it's a contemporary romance novel. You can't help but take away some of the quotes and notable suggestions for your own life.

"If you could put everything on hold an conquer one goal, what would it be?"
Makes you take a moment and think. And hopefully, act.

> This isn't typical of Meghan's books. It's a bit deeper. A bit more real. More emotional. This is one that shouldn't be missed.

Read. Then...
#ProveYourExistence

About the Author:

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if "It's Raining Men" starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped. Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing... enter her first novel, Caught Looking. Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

Synopsis

Finn
No matter how cruel it’s been in the past, I’ve never been able to flip fate the bird. I’m a romantic at heart. So when fate drops a leather-bound journal at my feet, I know I should walk away.

I don't. I pick her up, bend her spine, spread her pages. From the first word, I’m a goner. The owner didn’t give me access to her most intimate desires, but I devour them anyway. Her private darkness, her candid, explicit poetry—it all goes down like warm milk. And from that point forward, I drink, eat, and sleep her.

Halston
I went to his apartment and let him take my picture. Just once, to see how it would feel. I’m not his to look at, to inspire, to touch, but when he watches me through his lens, it gives me a high I don’t want to come down from…

My journal is the one place I can be myself—as long as I can tie it up and put it away when I’m finished. But when Finn undoes the bow, he pulls strings that could unravel each of us.

I have to admit. When I first read Slip of the Tongue, I wasn't necessarily a fan. I didn't like the heroine, and was confused about Finn and his actions. Well...I've changed my mind!
This book focuses on Finn, and continues about a year after him and Sadie split. He's at a coffee shop, finds a journal, and is intrigued. He needs to meet the owner.
The owner, Halston, is living a life that isn't her own. Controlled by her father and her boyfriend (chosen by dad), she's desperate to break free and find herself again. That's where Finn comes in.

What starts as a way for him to photograph her and her to let herself become someone else turns into a smokin' hot connection. The two can't stay away from each other, and find their attraction is something they have to explore - for Finn to move on and find a new woman to call his own, and for Halston to find herself, and someone that accepts her with all her flaws.

This one is MUCH better than Slip, as Halston is a more interesting character and Finn is just....Finn. Despite being the continuation of Finn's story from Slip, it can be read as a stand alone.
