My Review: 

Bean is a young girl who is in need of a bone marrow transplant, and her mom Ginny will do anything to make her happy. This includes convincing fallen hero star Liam Stone to work with her daughter and "train" her.

Liam is a mess. Living in a trailer, he's drunk when Ginny arrives at his door and tells her not to come back unless she has some top shelf bourbon. She does go back, and refuses to go away until he helps her. They make a deal; she will help him get back in shape, and he will do what she asks for Bean.

What develops is a heartfelt story that changes every one of them, including the extended family.

This is the second book I've read by Sarah Ready and it won't be the last.
